I’m aware that Chromebooks are sometimes seen as having restricted capability because I’ve heard a lot about them. In light of this, what are some untrue statements regarding Chromebooks? Which widespread misconceptions exist concerning them?

The idea that Chromebooks are just fancy web browsers has to be the most widespread misunderstanding. That cannot be further from the reality in 2024.

Chromebooks are often misunderstood as limited devices. Common misconceptions include that they can’t run without internet, are only for basic tasks, and lack app compatibility. In reality, they work offline, support various productivity tools, and can run Android apps. They’re versatile, secure, and cost-effective for many users.

To be honest, Chromebooks are always slow to me so I would never vouch for them :dotted_line_face:

I don’t really buy into the idea of chromebooks just prefer an actual Laptop, heard they can’t run without an internet wether that’s true no idea

I heard they are restricted which makes it fast
