I’m putting together a list of business leaders or CEOs who are known for improving employee morale and productivity. I’m talking about individuals who treat their employees with respect and don’t see them just as tools for making money. I recently came across Damola Adamolekun, the new CEO of Red Lobster. He’s only 35 but has already led PF Changs and other companies. It’s great to see someone so young in such a high position, and it’s clear he understands what it takes to inspire a team.
Oscar Muñoz from United Airlines definitely turned the company around and changed its whole culture.
Jim Kavanaugh from World Wide Technology.
Herb Kelleher, even though he’s passed, was known for his leadership and how he motivated people.
Keep in mind that CEOs don’t do all the work themselves. It’s the leadership team that makes the changes. A CEO is only as good as the team they surround themselves with. The CEO just gets the credit.
Joe Hinrichs at Ford.
Jensen Huang from NVIDIA.
Dan Price from Gravity Payments. He made huge changes that helped a lot of people.
I remember his story and was impressed, but didn’t he step down after some allegations against him?
Dan Price wasn’t found guilty of the assault charge, but he stepped down from CEO after it became public. There was no conviction related to the allegations, and no criminal or civil charges were filed against him.
Gary Vee.
This is a myth. CEOs only exist to profit off of their employees’ work. They don’t add real value.
Jack Welch.
