We had a pricey consultant working on implementing Salesforce SDR, but it was a disaster. The email content was terrible, they couldn’t get it to sound human, and the data integration was way more complex than expected. The consultant and the tech team didn’t really have any sales or marketing experience either. But this is the future, right? At least that’s what they keep saying.
@Zion
That’s still a long way off. By the way, email success rates are about 0.05%. Cold calling still works if done properly.
It depends on what you’re selling and how many leads you have.
If you’re selling specialized equipment, you definitely want a human salesperson to avoid mistakes. But if you’re selling something trendy to lots of people from lists, AI can process more leads in less time, even if its success rate is lower.
@Niall
If you’re selling digital products like PDFs, sure. But for serious products, AI won’t cut it.

I’ve been tempted to block Facebook because of all the terrible products my wife buys from Facebook ads. Most of them are overpriced, low-quality stuff or outright scams.
Nah, this is the future, and everyone knows it.
It’s similar to when companies started outsourcing customer service. Quality dropped, conversations were awkward, and everything felt fake. But if there’s money to be made, this will develop over time. AI might eventually hit a balance between cost and customer satisfaction.
