Why I Keep Coming Back to My Nike Sasquatch... Need Recommendations for Similar Drivers

Throughout my golfing life, the only driver that consistently works for me is my Nike Sasquatch. It has seen many companions come and go from my bag, but it remains my faithful choice. It’s the remedy for my golf woes, and I dread the day it finally gives out. Can anyone suggest modern drivers that offer a similar experience to the Nike Sasquatch?

That’s the sound of paradise.

I own one, and it’s fantastic. I usually play a draw, but with this, a cut swing sends it straight as an arrow. My dad’s golf buddy had one too, and he got a custom Titleist hat with earplugs for a gag gift one Christmas. It was hilarious.

None can replace it for me. I still play with my sq2. The sound brings back so many memories. I’ll never switch it out, it still performs well.

I feel the same. But what will we do when they are no longer usable?

@Landry
I’ll search for a used one online, then refurbish it with a new shaft and grip. Long live the Squanch.

Maybe it’s time to learn to swing a different driver

I can hit a driver fine, usually between 270-280 yards, sometimes over 300 with some help from the wind or terrain. It’s just that other drivers don’t feel right. The Squanch has so much character and I love the unique sound it makes.

@Bailey
Then perhaps when the time comes, record that distinctive sound and play it on a speaker every time you use a new driver.

I’ve never hit a driver more consistently than my old square Machspeed Black.

I saw someone using one at a scramble recently. Every tee shot boomed like a cannon. He was a beginner and didn’t drive them far, but every hit made people look. As a lefty, mine sounds even more dramatic.

Is that really a thing, or am I missing something?

Do lefties really hit louder?

It’s just a silly stereotype about lefties.

@Landry
As a lefty, I can confirm; even a mis-hit sounds like a symphony off the trees.

I once used that club as a joke and ended up hitting the straightest drive of my life. Though, I think it might have cost me some hearing.
