YouTube is on their adblock crusade again... I'm using uBlock Origin ...What would you recommend?

Hey all,

I’ve noticed that YouTube has ramped up their adblock detection again. I’m using uBlock Origin, which has been great so far, but lately, I’m getting more and more pop-ups and videos being blocked unless I disable it.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any tips or alternative solutions that might work better with YouTube’s new tactics? I’m open to trying different configurations or even another ad blocker if needed.

Yeah, of course. You’re stopping YouTube from making money from advertisers. You either messed up with the ads or let YouTube take your hard-earned money by signing up for a premium account. It’s a lose-lose situation either way, lol.

I’m still fine with Ublock and chrome. Although I’m gonna switch to Firefox soon since they’re banning the entire plugin.

You can’t use uBlock when you’re signed into your YouTube account anymore. I’ve heard it works fine if you’re signed out or using Firefox. Personally, I’m too lazy for that, and I find Chrome easier to use, so when I get ads, I just hit F5 until I get a short or skippable one.

I"m using ublock just fine on firefox rn.

Try using Brave. It’s like Chrome but comes with adblock built in.

Which browser do you use? Edge works perfectly for me with uBlock.

I think it’s time to ditch Chrome and use Firefox.
