So I’ve been trying to get my transcript from Carleen Health Institute in Florida since it closed in 2023. I’ve called, emailed, and even faxed for months with no luck. The Florida Department of Education just gave me the same fax number that’s on the voicemail… does anyone have any suggestions? It’s been so frustrating
That sounds really frustrating! I had the same issue with a different closed school. Have you tried explaining to the Florida Department of Education that the fax isn’t working? They should be able to help you out with this.

Ugh, that’s the worst. Have you tried emailing or is it just the phone/fax route?
If you’re hitting a wall with FLDOE, maybe try escalating the situation. You could ask to speak to a supervisor or someone higher up. It might help get things moving faster.

I’ll try that. I’m really just getting tired of this whole process
I had a similar problem with a closed school before. I ended up sending a letter to the state’s attorney general. That definitely helped me get someone’s attention. Might be worth a try if you’re stuck.

I just explained everything that had happened and how I was getting nowhere with the usual channels. I kept it simple but made it clear I needed help. It seemed to speed things up.

I’ve tried calling multiple times, but it’s always the voicemail. They just say to send a fax. It’s so frustrating!
Don’t give up! Keep calling FLDOE and escalate when you can. Sometimes being persistent really makes a difference!
