Hey folks, I could really use some advice. I live in Wood County, WV, and things have been a bit crazy lately. I had to get a restraining order against my girlfriend after she pulled a gun on me. The court was supposed to be on October 3rd, but then it got pushed to the 9th for some unknown reason. When I showed up, I found out she filed her own restraining order against me the day after mine! It’s all lies, and I have the proof to back it up, but the judge didn’t let me present anything and ruled in her favor. Now I’m out of my home and lost my belongings. Anyone experienced something similar? What should I do?
Man, that’s rough! Have you had a chance to consult with a lawyer yet?

Not really, I’m kinda lost on how to handle all this. Just trying to breathe, you know?

For sure! Don’t wait too long to get legal help.
This sounds like a nightmare… Do you have any evidence to show your attorney?

Yes, I’ve saved texts and videos. Just nervous about these warrants hanging over me.

What kind of warrants? Are they for your arrest or something?

Yep, it’s for the stuff they found at my property. Total chaos.
You really need to sort those warrants out ASAP. Ignoring them will just make things worse.

I know, it’s just scary facing it. But I can’t hide forever.
Can’t believe they messed up your stuff like that! Have you thought about filing a complaint?

Not yet, but I definitely should. They destroyed things that weren’t even illegal.

Keep all the evidence! It’ll help your case down the line.
Have you tried documenting everything? It might come in handy when you deal with the legal side.

I have a few recordings. Just trying to figure out my next move.

Great idea! Staying organized will definitely help later.
