As long as they aren’t in places like your bed, you should keep them around as they help keep other insects low in your house.

Yes, I appreciate that they help with insects. But they’re right next to my desk, always within sight, which is a bit creepy. They’re even moving closer to me, right by my monitor! My wall is also next to my bed, which adds to my worry. Maybe they’ll learn to recognize me and keep their distance?
@Fifer
Just a heads up, if your coffee ever crunches or feels squishy, spit it out fast!
@Fifer
It’s fine to relocate them using a cup, but check for egg sacs first!
@Fifer
Sounds like you have a curious jumping spider. They’re friendly but can startle you!
I have an agreement with the spiders: they stay away from my bed and we coexist just fine.
I consider them just friends.

Being just friends works; I wouldn’t recommend getting too close.
Yeah, just leave them be.
I’ve lived with the same spiders for years. I even help by directing flies into their webs.

I’m terrified of spiders, but if one stays put, I get used to it and might even help feed it.
@Marley
It makes a difference knowing your house spiders. A surprise spider can still make me jump though!
They’re your first line of defense against bugs, keep them around!
I usually relocate them to my basement since they’re great at catching bugs. Or, if it’s warm, I’ll put them outside.
I let them be if they’re in a spot that doesn’t bother me. It seems there’s usually one spider per room in my house.

If their web stays empty, they’ve likely moved on after doing their job.

Sometimes, what looks like a dead spider might actually be its shed skin.
Spiders are valuable for controlling pests. Just be careful of the Brazilian Brown Recluse in Argentina—they are dangerous. If unsure, ask for help identifying them on spider identification forums with a clearer picture.
@Drue
Thanks for the tip! I’m actually worried these might be brown recluses now. They’re too close for comfort.
