Can you turn off safety features on a Toyota? Thinking about protests

Just thinking about a scenario. Say there’s a protest in a downtown area and you’re in your new Tundra. If a crowd suddenly surrounds your truck and starts hitting it, breaking windows, and you feel like you’re in danger, would you be able to step on the gas and drive out of there? Do the sensors prevent you from moving forward? Looking for advice on how to disable these features or toggle them if needed.

Kinda specific, but okay…

Like a zombie apocalypse mode or something?

Maybe there’s a fuse you can pull?

Interesting point. My truck has a PCS button that turns off the automatic braking front and rear (I tested this driving into some bushes, haha). It still beeps but doesn’t stop. But I’ve seen others here say their button doesn’t work the same way. Sounds like a flaw and worth taking to the dealer.

@Leslie
My dad and I both have new Tundras. My button works, but his doesn’t. It’s a pain, especially when he’s backing up a trailer. He got a real lemon with so many issues.

Yeah, I’ve heard others complain about this too, even in Tow Mode. Sorry for your dad, man. Hope he keeps pressing the dealer on it!

Thanks for sharing!

This is really what you’re worried about? Maybe turn off the conservative news for a bit.

Says the person who’s clearly buying into the propaganda!

Maybe pile up a bunch of cardboard boxes and try it out. I doubt the sensors can tell the difference between a person and a stack of Amazon boxes.
