If this is a scam from amazon.com, they will sort it out and refund you, just give it time. You should also contact their support if needed. If it’s not from amazon.com, you might be out of luck though.
@Hollis
I can back this up. Amazon has one of the most consumer-friendly policies. I’ve been shopping on Amazon for over 15 years, and there are occasional issues like misrepresented items or receiving the wrong product. Auto parts are usually the problem when using the vehicle filter. About 2 out of 10 parts I buy this way are wrong, but Amazon has always refunded me after a simple return process, even providing free return shipping. On the other hand, other online sellers don’t offer this kind of service. I made a mistake last week after too many drinks and ended up buying a drone from blackbird4k.com. They promised me a spare drone, spare battery, and other items for a cheap price, but the tracking numbers didn’t work, and no one answered my emails. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. I’ll probably either get a bad drone or get a refund. It will take time, though. I’ve learned my lesson: never shop when drunk and always be careful with unknown sellers. If a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I did find a great deal later, though, buying a Potensic Atom 3-axis 4K drone on Amazon. It arrived in 4 days, and it works perfectly. It was worth the wait!
Next time, check the ratings before you buy.

The price was the same as other websites though.

They didn’t have reviews when I ordered. The reviews I’m seeing now were posted recently. I made my purchase on November 21, and the order was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I paid $199 for the mini 4K, which is why I bought it.
@Keats
And this is why people avoid buying from sellers without reviews. It could be something new, or it might be someone evading bad reviews by switching accounts. You take a risk with your money.
@Keats
That’s unfortunate. But it sounds like Amazon might still refund you. Just follow their advice, wait a bit longer, and contact them again if it wasn’t a fully third-party transaction.
Always stop and think. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is. There was even a scam where a 4K drone was sold for $69.99. Some people believed it was real. You could also check with consumer reports if they have any deals on products at that price.
@Eli
But the website said there were singles in my area

What happened? Did they turn out to be men again?
Yep, you got scammed.
I don’t know why this happens. You don’t get charged until it says shipped, but the product never ships. If you bought through Amazon, the charge might show up as pending for a month, and then you’ll get refunded.
If it seems too good to be true, it probably is a scam.
I got the same scam with the mini 4K. I thought I was buying it from DJI since it was listed on their page, but it only showed reviews for the product, not for the seller, which made it confusing. I spoke with Amazon today, and they initially said they would only refund after the posted delivery date. But since so many people are falling for this, they’re processing refunds earlier.
@Noor
It wasn’t too good to be true though. The price was comparable to the DJI website, and it was listed during Black Friday deals, so it didn’t seem far-fetched. It was also featured in a couple of YouTube videos for the best drone deals, which led me to buy it.
I was waiting for Black Friday to buy a mini 4K, normally priced at $299. On November 21, I found it for $199 on Amazon, so I didn’t think there would be any issues. The Amazon agent told me I need to wait until December 10 to request a refund. I’ll wait and see what happens.
It should be fine. If it’s fake, Amazon will refund you as promised. Just wait a bit.
