It wasn’t a huge deal but today at the red light I tried to turn where the light was green to save some time. A cop stopped me and pointed out how silly that was lol (sorry for my bad English). I’m not feeling very confident right now
Everyone makes mistakes when driving. If someone claims they don’t, they’re probably lying or just don’t notice their own errors.
To cope with it, just move forward and don’t let it stress you out. Learn from the mistake and don’t repeat it.

Does everyone really make mistakes? Many do for sure, but not everyone.
That’s an interesting take.

That’s ridiculous. I’m the best driver ever!/s

Technically, anyone who hasn’t driven can’t make a driving mistake. So, not everyone makes mistakes.

While I understand what you’re saying, there are drivers out there who’ve driven for decades without a ticket or accident. But they’ve made mistakes without getting caught.
@Kim
I’ve been driving for 40 years. I can count my mistakes on my hands and feet, and maybe your hands and feet too.

This is exactly what I mean. OP, this is how a careless driver behaves. Avoid making mistakes like this.

Absolutely. They do. Everybody.

A lot of folks actually do but NOT EVERYBODY.
Really? So you watch all drivers all the time?

Everyone who’s given me driving tips has had at least one thing wrong.
Few people know all the road rules, and no one is fully focused 100% of the time.

It’s like this person was born with a perfect record.
Were you trying to turn right on red in the USA?
The only thing I can think of is that the cop thought it wasn’t safe to do that.
If I crash into a children’s hospital, I just put a sick child in the driver’s seat and say it was their “make a wish” to learn how to drive.
@Kim
Many people forget that in most states, turning right on red means you must treat it like a stop sign: come to a complete stop, roll ahead, and go when it’s clear. I’ve actually been honked at for stopping before making a right turn.
I’ve been honked at multiple times for making a complete stop before turning right on red.
Everyone goes through that. It’s not about what you’re doing; it’s all about the impatience of the person behind you.
I feel dumb for a few days and then drive very carefully.
