Hear me out: Don't take your scooter to get it fix at the repair shop

Scooters are still relatively new, and finding qualified repair services can be challenging. Many repair shops are not certified and lack official training from manufacturers on how to fix different brands. When you take your scooter to them, they often just look up online tutorials, just like you might. Additionally, they tend to order parts from AliExpress and charge you extra, even though you could order the same parts yourself. Most of these shops can only handle basic repairs like tire changes. It’s better to learn how to fix your scooter on your own.

If you have the resources, I believe that’s fantastic. To mend my scooter, I’ve invested a lot of money on tools. Despite my physical impairment, I am able to make progress if I take my time.

However, I am aware that some people lack the necessary equipment, are unable to afford it, or have a physical impairment that prevents them from using a scooter.

If a store doesn’t have any experience with scooters, people should go for a good bike shop, a handyman, or an auto mechanic without hesitation. Unsurprisingly, a few people on the sub I’ve helped out with the assistance of their auto mechanics because they frequently have excellent tools.

Because repair services might be difficult to obtain, it can be beneficial to learn how to fix your scooter. Many rely on online tutorials and purchasing parts from websites like AliExpress since they lack certification and appropriate training. In addition to being cost-effective, self-repair guarantees high-quality service. To ensure convenience in the long run, think about devoting some time to mastering fundamental upkeep and repairs.
