I saw this long ad with Katherine Heigl on YouTube and decided to check the price for my tiny dog, who weighs 11lbs. The bags are 24 oz, and he’d need a cup a day, so that means 3 days of food would cost $40! Is this for real? Katherine Heigl is convincing people to spend $400 a month on dog food? I’m in shock. I really hope I’m wrong about this.
I keep getting those Katherine Heigl ads everywhere and they drive me crazy! They’re just full of lies, buzzwords, and some wild anti-science nonsense. Honestly, it’s making me dislike Katherine Heigl even more. Like, why is she even doing this?
I would never pay that much for dog food, but I don’t mind paying extra for high-quality food. Between all the stuff I buy for my dog, it adds up to a few hundred a month. I’ve been feeding her one of the top-rated WSAVA foods, and if something better came along, I’d switch to it. My real concern is that the ‘boutique’ brands are nowhere near as good as they make themselves seem. They’re just expensive freeze-dried food, and people buy it thinking they’re doing something great for their dogs when it’s actually not that great.
@Drake
What are you feeding your dog? I’m looking for something that might be a bit more appetizing for mine.

What’s the fancy food you’re using? I’m looking for something new for my pup

I’ve been using Eukanuba! My girl eats pretty much anything, but she really loves it. I got her one of their active diets, and she’s actually started gaining some weight too.
It’s all marketing. Don’t fall for it.
