I need some help with a proposal idea. I’m trying to figure out how to involve an exotic pet like a fennec fox, raccoon, or kinkajou. My girlfriend loves watching TikToks about them, and I think it would be the perfect touch for my proposal. I’ve already reached out to sanctuaries, zoos, and farms, but no luck so far. Any advice or suggestions on how to make this happen would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Thanks. My idea is that we’d be at a park, and we’d spot someone walking an exotic pet on a leash. We’d get excited, they let us pet it, and the ring would be tied to the pet’s collar or ribbon around its neck. Then I’d ask her to marry me, maybe with an animal-themed joke. Alternatively, it could be cool if the pet approached her, and she’d find the ring when she goes to pet it. What do you think?

That sounds so adorable. She’s going to be so lucky. 
If you want a unique animal, make sure it’s one that’s familiar with being outside so it’s comfortable and not stressed. I think a mini horse would be amazing. If I saw one at the park, I’d totally freak out. Plus, people who have mini horses love that kind of thing.

You should try reaching out to local petting zoos. Some of them have exotic animals like kangaroos or coatimundi. You might also be able to find a private pet owner in your area. Are you based in Texas? I could help you out more if you are. If not, try searching for exotic pet owners on Google or Facebook.

I found a place called ‘Keeping it Weird Exotic Pets’ in Portland. They mostly breed reptiles, but they might know someone who has other exotic animals. The exotic pet community is small, so it’s worth reaching out to them. Also, there’s a petting zoo nearby that you could try. They might know someone or even let you work with them. Good luck.
