I was using my monitor yesterday and noticed a small red dot on the screen. After checking, I realized it was a pixel. I closed all tabs, and the pixel turned black. I ran the ‘undead pixel’ program for about two hours, and it shows the right color on red, blue, and black backgrounds, but it’s still black on most other backgrounds. I turned off the monitor overnight hoping it would fix itself, but no luck. I’m still within the return window on Amazon… should I send it back or is there a chance I can fix it?
Honestly, if it’s not something you’d be okay with long-term if it can’t be fixed, I’d use the return window while you can.
Yeah, I’d agree. A stuck pixel can be annoying, especially if it shows up on important stuff.
Have you tried gently massaging the area where the pixel is? Sometimes that can help.
I haven’t tried that yet! Might give it a shot… thanks!
If it’s still under warranty, I’d definitely consider returning it. Better safe than sorry!
You could also try using a pixel fixer video for a bit longer. Sometimes that works too.
