The SD card in my phone seems to have something going wrong with it. My phone can’t detect it, and my laptop can’t either. What course of action do I have to access the files on it?
It’s likely corrupt. Does it have anything important on it?
I wish I knew. Tons of music and a lot of photos. I don’t know the scope of what’s on there. I can obviously live without it all, but if there’s any chance of recovery, please let me know. Lol.
What were the circumstances when it stopped working? Was it just random, or did something happen?
Just random. Nothing crazy like a hard drop or water getting in/on the phone.
Well, that’s a good sign. The card is likely fine, and the problem was probably a software glitch. Are you on Windows, Mac, or Linux? On a side note, have you tried rebooting the phone?
First thing is to try a different adapter if you are using a USB adapter. That’s been the most common problem I’ve seen with SD cards not being recognized.
Using imgbb.com or similar, please post a screenshot of disk management (make sure you have the lower pane fully visible).
