@Dell
That’s what I’m worried about. A good dealership experience really makes a difference.

Honestly, it’s more about the dealership than the car sometimes.

True. I’ve seen complaints about Kia service on this forum, so it’s definitely something to consider.

Corolla Cross might be worth a look
Switched from a 2012 Prius to a 2025 Niro SX, and I’m really happy with it so far. The hybrid system is smooth, and the car is just more fun to drive than the old Prius. Gas mileage is great, too, getting around 55 mpg.
@JamesPhillips
Good to hear you’re enjoying it! We’re planning to give our old Prius to our teen, but I get what you mean about it not being the most comfortable for long drives.

Same here—one of us always gets the Niro, and the other has to deal with the Prius. Niro is just so much nicer to drive.
@JamesPhillips
I haven’t tried CarPlay yet. Is it easy to use?

Super easy. Just plug it in with a USB, and you can use maps, music, etc., on the main screen.

Thanks for the tip!
I have a Niro hybrid with over 100k miles on it and it’s been great. No major issues, and I’m averaging 56 mpg.

Awesome! Any minor issues over the years?

Just one—an HVAC motor issue that cost a bit to fix since it was out of warranty. But otherwise, it’s been solid.
@Torin
Thanks for the details!
I’ve been eyeing the Corolla Cross after driving the Niro for a couple of years. I leased my Niro and can’t wait for the lease to end. Love the car but the software is really buggy.

What software issues? Just curious.
@Sawyer
Mainly with driver profiles. The seat moves after I start driving, and CarPlay drops out often. Also, tracks are listed alphabetically on Bluetooth, which is annoying.

Good to know! Sounds annoying for sure.
@Sawyer
It really is. Wish they’d address it with an update.
I’d probably go with Toyota. I like my Niro, but it lacks a bit of power.
