Thinking about the Niro… but Toyota loyalty makes me hesitate

Got a Niro LX in 2021 and it’s been super reliable. No software issues here either!

Also, remember—most people post about problems, not the positives.

2020 PHEV here with almost 68k miles, no big issues. CarPlay can be glitchy, but it’s solid overall.

Do you use sport mode when driving uphill?

Moved from a Prius to a Niro EV in 2019, and it’s been great. A good family car with decent range and reliability so far.

Thanks! The Niro EV is on my list, but we’re leaning hybrid for now since it’ll be passed on to our daughter in a few years. But glad to hear it’s working well for you!

Don’t hesitate… the Niro beats the Prius in looks and features hands down!

Haha, I guess the Niro’s got style points!

In the same boat as you! If you haven’t checked out the Corolla Cross Hybrid, give it a look. Not as techy as the Niro, but super practical.

It’s on my list, just hard to test drive since it’s a bit of a drive to the nearest dealer.

@Lyle
Yeah, totally understandable. I had to cross it off my list too because of the tight backseat.

Get the Niro, no regrets here.

The features alone make it worth it!

I’ve had a few issues with my Niro after driving 123k miles, but overall, it’s been solid. Keep up with maintenance, and it should be fine.

We don’t drive much, under 10k a year, so hopefully, it’ll last.

@Lyle
If you don’t drive much, consider the plug-in model! Love it for short trips around town without using gas.

Love my 2019 Niro—reliable and comfortable with more space than the Prius. Might not be the fastest, but it works for me.
