This has been going on for a couple of days. My PC has a good streak of maybe 4 hours, then it goes into stupid mode and gives me 4400+ ping for some reason. It’s only my PC that’s slow; my phone’s internet is good, and my family’s devices are fine too. I don’t know why it’s so inconsistent. My room is by the garage, and the router is in the front room, so it’s a bit far away. This issue just suddenly happened. I’ve turned my PC on and off, did the ipconfig settings, and everything, but it still acts like a lil whiney baby. I haven’t installed any 3rd party software, so it can’t be a virus. It just feels like my PC is trying to be as difficult as possible.
It’s hard to determine just from this info. I’m commenting here so that others have a greater chance to appear and help you.
If you’re using WiFi, try a WiFi analyzer app on your phone. See if it shows issues with your connection to the router while your PC has problems. Do this in the same area as your PC. Make sure both your phone and PC are connected to the same WiFi SSID. If you’re on 2.4GHz, there could be interference from things like microwaves. Try connecting on a different frequency if your router and PC allow that.
How do you do that? Like change the hertz?
Check your network connection on both devices. See if they’re connected to the same WiFi SSID and check what frequency they’re using, like 2.4GHz or 5GHz. For WiFi analysis, you can use an app like this one on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=abdelrahman.wifianalyzerpro.
Because Windows. Get a Linux distro and everything will look and feel lightning fast.
