Wifi disconnects every minute or so when booting up any game

Whenever I boot up any games, no matter the launcher, my Wi-Fi disconnects and reconnects over and over again. I’ve tried updating my BIOS, running antivirus software (Norton and Malwarebytes), and doing a fresh reset on my PC. My browser works fine, but for some reason, EVERY game I boot up causes this issue. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Steam game, EA game, Minecraft, Roblox, or Epic Games. Someone help please.

It sounds like it might be wireless interference with other Wi-Fi signals. How many other Wi-Fi networks can you see from your computer? If there are a lot, you might need to change your router’s Wi-Fi channel settings to a manual setting instead of automatic. Channels 1, 6, or 11 for the 2.4GHz band should help. Also, check for any wireless devices nearby, like landline phones or Bluetooth speakers, as they can cause issues.

My husband has a Dell XPS 13 with a similar issue when trying to play games via GeForce Now. It wasn’t a problem when using a USB-C Ethernet adapter.

Have you tried using a wired connection instead? That might help eliminate the disconnection issues.
