Windows 11 won't boot after shutting down... any ideas?

So, I have a Dell G3 3590, and the other day, I tried shutting down my laptop when an app was running. I clicked ‘Shut Down Anyway’ without really checking what it was. Now, every time I try to boot it up, it gets stuck on the Dell logo with that spinning loading circle for like 10-15 minutes. I’ve tried restarting it a bunch of times, but it just won’t boot. I even ran the Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery and tried the repair options, but nothing worked. Has anyone dealt with this before? I could really use some help!

Ugh, that sounds frustrating! Have you tried booting into Safe Mode? I’ve heard that can sometimes help with boot issues.

I tried, but it just gets stuck on the loading screen too… any other suggestions?

You could try running some Command Prompt commands. Like, have you done the /sfc scannow thing? It might help find some issues.

Yeah, I did that a few times. It finds problems but never actually fixes anything. So annoying!

I had a similar problem once. Maybe give the chkdsk /r command a shot? It found issues for me before.

I tried that too, but it didn’t help either. What else could I try?

Sounds like a tough spot. Have you checked your BIOS settings? Sometimes they can give clues about what’s going wrong.

Yeah, the BIOS sees my drive and shows that UEFI is set correctly. I’m kinda out of options here.

Have you thought about resetting Windows? I know it’s a pain, but it might be the only way if nothing else works.

I really don’t want to go that route unless I have to. I had a glimmer of hope getting back in once, so I’m hesitant.
